PALVELUT
Valve maintenance and the production of valve spare parts are a key part of our services. Our spacious machine shops in Tampere, Pietarsaari, and Kotka, along with our professional personnel, ensure the high-quality results. We have the necessary materials, coatings, and finishing methods for comprehensive valve maintenance.
We repair all types of valves, including their automation systems, control devices, and pilot-operated safety valves, regardless of the brand. Depending on the customer’s needs, maintenance is performed either at our own facilities or on the customer’s premises. We conduct pressure equipment checks using our own testing equipment.
Zero leakage of shutdown valves and the precise control capability of control valves are essential prerequisites for a functioning process. Leaking valves can cause serious hazards, pollute the environment, and result in significant costs through energy loss. Proactive maintenance of safety valves quickly pays for itself. In addition to maintenance services, we also perform regulatory inspections on safety valves.
We offer portable workshop containers tailored to the customer’s needs. These containers ensure uninterrupted production, even if the facility is closed or operating at reduced capacity due to maintenance activities. Our portable containers include a lathe, drill press, glass bead blast cabinet, test bench, workbench, and more. We perform industrial maintenance and repair work with attention to details, considering the customer’s own obligations.
Spare parts for valves, pumps and other equipment are manufactured and refurbished in our machine shops. The manufacturing process begins by identifying the correct materials and operating conditions. Production is based on the dimensions provided by existing component or the original drawing. The wear resistance of parts can be enhanced through hard coating or hardening processes.
Hard coating in various forms and methods provides wear resistance to surfaces. Hard coating is suitable for sealing surfaces, sliding surfaces, and rolling surfaces, among others.
Post-weld heat treatments are performed using a programmable heat treatment oven in our machine shops. Heat treatment is precisely documented with a report available from the oven control. We also perform various material hardness treatments, such as hardening, using a heat oven.
Repaired valves undergo pressure testing using water, air, or gas pressure on a case-by-case basis. Safety valves are pressurized and tested on a dedicated test bench with compressed air or gas (occasionally also with water, depending on the case). In addition to a leak test, the set pressure of the spring (valve opening and closing) is adjusted during testing. After testing the safety valve is sealed and an adjustment plate with verified information is installed to lead wire. The test is supervised by an approved inspector and a certificate with signatures is created. In some cases, re-coating and machining of sealing surfaces can be done without removing the valve.
